# to say the first three sound alike is frankly bizarre
pavement split up some years back and the pixies only just reformed... hardly 'kids... these days'

but the kids who listen to them listen to what i call "average."

i'm not very good at categorizing these bands as i don't listen much to them, but i know the style when i hear it.

just seems to be increasing in popularity is all i'm saying.

i should add, they're not bad.

bad would be all the terrible hardcore bands and all the annoying generic family friendly "post-hardcore" and "pop-punk" bands that all sound so similar to me.
