so you've copied and pasted your wee monkey figure and filled the background but 'cos it's a crappy JPEG it's left lots of crud that isn't easy to remove and you can't paste it without leaving it looking like bukkake-monkey!

The answer (well, I find it best) is not the crappy free hand draw tool but rather to set the background colour to something bold that doesn't appear in either the source pic or the pasting pic and then go around the outline with the paintburush tool, the advantage being that you have three undos if you go too far over the monkey. Then, when you paste, set the background colour the same on the source pic and BINGO!! Puff! Pant!
