and some bloody weird cat videos
(, Sun 8 May 2005, 22:31, archived)
# I really need
to fiddle about more with IR. Seems I have a lot left to learn...

don't spose lemony or someone has a handy tutorial on t'web?

# Best bet is to play with it
and pick up advice from this place

# yer probably right
after all, that's what I did with photoshop.

what format do I need the video in so I can start playing about with it? Or does it not make much difference?

# I had a terrible time with formats
IR wouldn't take AVI very well so I had to save each frame to a directory with Virtual Dub Mod then read them back in with IR.

#
what, you saved each frame as a separate image and then used the import folder to frames command?

no wonder it took you ages! that's dedication that is. roy castle would be tap-dancing like a mong on tartrazine.

# Not that bad
Virtual Dub does it automatically then IR can import a directory.

# ah
I think I spy another download coming on... I need this virtual dub of which you speak.

# Tis free
and you can get it anywhere, get Virtual Dub Mod
(, Sun 8 May 2005, 22:48, archived)
# cool
SourceForge.net seems to have it...

EDIT: bumfuck, tis fer windoze. is there a mac version?
(, Sun 8 May 2005, 22:55, archived)
# Hmm dunno
there maybe a copy of the original Vitr Dub
(, Sun 8 May 2005, 23:09, archived)
# Mine takes AVI, MPG, MOV etc fine
but it is sometimes best to just open every other frame or every 5th frame etc - so that it still looks good.

# This I agree with
My anim has all the frames and is way too slow

BTW here's the vids I used, useful for someone!

# there are lots on the web
but ovenready can still be a right pain in the arse.
It's best to mess about with it once you have found a basic tutorial.
I had some bookmarked, but firefox isn't listing 2 of my bookmark folders for some reason - sorry

#
Firefox ignored all the faves I had listed in my IE toolbar. Most odd.

Just thought I'd share.

# it's strange
because there is another folder that I can see all the bookmarks in, but when I try to add another to it, it isn't in the list.
It didn't do it until I did the last update.
