# I thought he was calling it a wild red beet
because it does look a bit like a beetroot

# Doesn't a garden need a lawn?
Wild Gnomes are very common in the marshlands of Dorset, but that doesn't make them common-or-garden gnomes does it? So it isn't a garden. Therefore I don't really think that can go in a lurking in the garden competition. I am new so I may be wrong, but it has never happened before - I have German ancestry you know.

# many people in the countryside own property that spans many acres
Therefore their gardens can include forests and marshland and all sorts.
Even without that though artistic license is not only welcomed but positively encouraged here :)

# If you could hear duck and gnomeish you would know....
...that you were never in a garden of any sort!

I think that should settle it.
