I'm glad you posted it here rather than threadwaste..
I suppose if the video file has become more pixelated due to compression, you can't exactly fix it 'back' to what it was previous.

thats exactly it, it was just a hunch that someone might know
of a sharpening or
correction tool or anything like that.
But yeh i figured twas in vain.

don`t know anything that`ll let you edit it and do that though
have a look at Adobe Premier and see if it`s any use for that sort of thing.. there`s Premier Elements, which is a cheap cut-down version
