there's a thing in flash that will trace the bitmap for you
and turn it into a vector but i'm not sure how big you can blow it up

My problem is that the image is fuzzy when I enlarge it.
Photoshop doesn't seem to have the brains not to introduce grey pixels between the black and white ones.

paths do curves
basically you define the start and end of them and drag the middle.
However - other people in this thread have other solutions.
