

These look kind of okay together, but they're also kind of off. How do they look better and why? I realize this is a big colo[u]r theory question, but if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Is there a way to 'calculate' what matches, or is it completely by eye?

Some are purple and some are pink and at least one is basic gray. They're off a bit for a scheme, and I don't know what they should do to get back in line and be a nice subtle shift.
It's not just adjusting HSB or RGB. They're all over the place!

Some people are glum and stink but at least one is basically gay. The pears are a bit off, Steve, and I don't want to get in that line just for a nice subtle shit.

besides, different colored areas are perceived as different sizes

I'm not really concerned about the size. I'm trying to do a colo[u]r thing where stuff kind of matches and looks good together.
