# it kept "Auto scanning" (very slowly) for spy ware,
but never found any
then i'd run Adaware and SpyDoctor and they would
find tons of the shit on my system

so gawd knows what they are really up too....

but i did have unlimited downloads and the connection
was solid enough so i can't complain too much

# I still use it
because I got it before I knew any better and am too lazy to change.
Their spyware thing actually seems to work now, it finds more than spybot does.
And the update thing Rik mentioned doesn't seem to happen any more.

# i only stopped using them as i've moved

# I dropped em last year
after a month of no connection, during their helpdesk told me:

my phone line was knackered
my cables were knackered
i needed to reinstall AOL software (9 times)
and (this is the best one)
My processor was too noisy and was distorting the broadband signal...

I switched to Plusnet and never had a days problem. Its cheaper too

We had the same thing a few years back with AOL 7, back when my Mum lived with us, and her being the impatient Bitch that she is (I don't get on with her =P), she just decided to cancel it. We don't have much luck with teh interweb
