^Thisa crane fly. Diptera: Tipulidae (sorry don't know genus or species).
Daddy long legs are spiders (Opiliones), but common names vary by region. Here in the US South, people call crane flies "mosquito eaters" even though they don't eat mosquitos.

In the UKwe call crane flies daddy-long-legs. It's a shame they don't eat mosquitos, the useless fuckers.

I went to the rainforst yesterdayand the humble guppy was sent from the Amazon to India as they eat shed-loads of mosquito larvae! \o/
