it's not that i have a problem getting codecs, it's that I don't know which one i should use. Obviously not everyon has divx or whatever, so if i encode it with that it will limit the number of people who can see it. Is there a default or fairly standard codec i should use?

I had to shink it by about 85% anyway. A 1600x1200 Avi plays pretty badly anyway, I wouldnt go over 320x240 for web things.

I used to use the Cinepak ones, but when I started using them on another computer, it looked shit.
If you're going to be converting to another format, like mpeg or wmv afterwards, you might aswell just turn use full-frame-uncompressed.
