The argument that IYGNTHYGNTF can't be dismissed out of hand. If the police never investigated anyone on the basis that they might *not* be a criminal, no crimes would ever be prevented before they happened. And I'd much rather a bombing was prevented rather than the culpits being caught after the bombing occurred. If innocent people are sometimes investigated in this process, so be it.

^This, very much so.It's my civil liberties, human rights and freedoms they are taking away. The fact that I am unlikely ever to need to use any of them doesn't make them any less important.
