# jpg or gif depending which is smaller
or very rarely a png. bmps are too huge.

psd is a photoshop file, not an image.

Use "save for web" in photoshop and optimise the photo to under 50kb.

# A psd is a photoshop file, which is probably why it's redexing.
Save it as a jpeg (under 50k), and find some decent hosting, like photobucket.

# Hello there. Grimmie here.
A .PSD is a file for Photoshop. It contains all the layers and fancy information that you've put into it. That's the thing that you'll want to open when you want to change something on your picture. Only, because it's just bit of information on what you've drawn, we can't actually see it without having a copy of potatoshop ourselves. Thus you have to save it as an image file (As SugerSpun said) such as a .jpg or a .gif

Dont feel too bad, we were all noobs once!
