# It was a bit harsh, I guess.
but people post links on here all the time.

# *harsh* would be

# Hahaha!
The thing that worries me is the people who bitch when an image is slightly over 50k. Is there a 'b3ta Nazi' plugin for Firefox that pops up file sizes on images (or puts a flashing border around them with helpful text about this something worthy of bitching about), or do people just check all image sizes as a sort of Nazi big-up competition?

# I 'spose when it takes a while to load
it acts as a kind of cue for people to check the filesize

# I rekon there are
many b3ta users dialing up through their 9600baud modems eating porridge and whey in a cave in the cotswolds that surely need these fine folk!

# Haha!
It just gives them time for another scoop of porridge!

You notice you never see the 2400 baud users complaining. Probably because they don't want the unnecessary page refresh.

# I don't really think it's being a "Nazi"
to ask someone to observe the guidelines in the faq. If someone takes offense to those guidelines they have the option of not posting here.
There are plenty of board members who are either on dial-up or capped broadband, and many of them post stuff that makes this board a great place to be. I think it would be a shame to lose those people just because a few twats can't be bothered to optimize properly. It's not a difficult thing to do. It's ignorant and inconsiderate not to bother, and I reserve the right to point that out to people.
If that means I get called a nazi then fine. I think it's kind of a stupid thing to say though.
