# Seven minutes ago I was all like 'Dude, I'm gonna make me a 3D Penguin,'
and now I done maked one.

He hovers 'cause he's magic, not 'cause I fucked up and can't be arsed re-rendering.

# christ.

# Blender 3D
It's bloody magic once you get used to the keyboard shortcuts.

# obviously not the blender from futurama
spiffing use of 7 minutes

# i think i might have had that on the computer that shat the bed a few years ago.
bought it used from my friend who does all kinds of 3d modeling shit.

# Yay for fast 3D'ing!
edit: I was doing a quick one too.

Bryce and Pshop 14min.
Forground dude is too spread out.

# I'll be doing a lot more...
... once I scrape together the money to buy software that'll get my backups off my Unix drive. All my old Blender stuff is on a UFS partition 'cause my wife got my Windows rootkitted and I had to scrub it. That includes the 21 gigs of Blender stuff I've done over the years. I WANT MY FILEZ BACK!

Editz: I prefer to do my steroscopics by doing parallel randers (render once, slide the camera across and render again) then put the images side by side (left on the right and vice versa)

Then you can see the image in 3D by simply crossing your eyes until the two frames meet.

# Always Backup Your Backups
And then... back it up again.
Media goes bad, wives and lovers too.

edit: re eye-crossing things
Those don't work for me. My eyes
aren't the same on each side.
Random stereo noise things don't
work for me for the same reason.

# ..
you can use the twin rendered images to generate the anaglyphs as well, for those of us who cant see cross eyed images :)

(, Sun 26 Nov 2006, 7:11, archived)

edit: just a moment I lost the third one, I'll re render it.
edit2: Was faster to rerender than search on backups

# looks good
the figure in the background and the background look really neat..
edit: not saying the foreground picture isnt, just as you mentioned, it is a little bit too spread for 3d viewing

# Yeah, too much on forground dude.
Thx. I'll get better at it eventually.
