Might it be an ideato have a general world map too? It's not exclusively UK people, although obviously that is the vast majority.

that's a good ideabut i'm thinking of mixing in flibz's pub locator idea too somehow. if the uk one works, maybe an international alternative could be bolted on.

I can vouchthat this is chimpy's kind of thing. I feel you have a very real chance of getting it working.
I'd like it to work internationally, even if it's not at such a grand scale, just dots on maps, it'd be cool if we could have synchronised b3ta bashes in London, Edinburgh, Berlin and New York, for example. Or even just facilitate drinking buddy finding globally.
