I tried

in both Gimp and Paint, and Magenta comes out grey on that image??

I'm sure there's a good reason for this besides divine intervention :-S

Cos it's a gif

and you're using indexed colours and magenta isn't in the palette.

Switch to RGB mode and you'll be OK.
