# it's cheap as chips compared to Illustrator too
Mind you, Inkscape is becoming more impressive all the time, especially for a freebie.

How Adobe keep selling their products is beyond me!

# Been using
xara for over 10 years now and i've been elsewhere and it's all crap for speed of use and easiness and i'm like freelance for 6 or 7 years and made a packet just using a £60 piece of software

# Don't get me started.
I've just got CS3 and no doubt that my Macromedia Studio will need a complete replacement now that all it's base are belong to adobe.
To be fair I'm one of those guys that would rather have everything and use the best of all of them rather than stick to a single package. ( as you will see from the thumbnail of an old partial desktop shot below ). I'm actually a very big fan of paint shop pro and have been since version 1. Corel PSP ( they call it paint shop photo pro now ) is a fantastic package for photo editing. it's still not right up there with tattyshop but for a fraction of the price it does not look so far away.

I even have basic free stuff installed. Everything can have a use at some time www.freeserifsoftware.com
