Primarily for two reasons.

1) I fucking love the way goth women can look.
2) I don't want to look like a goth when trying to get in their pants.

but you are mistaken. the cure are "traditional" goth music, and even back then were the lighter side of goth. "modern" goth is death metal (some of which is alright, but most of which i ignored whilst trying to get into the knickers of...

is more along the lines of bands like within temptation, tristania and the gathering, so basically female vocalists with quite relaxed metal music. whereas death metal is bands like arch enemy, opeth or morbid angel
