Making a gif (total jpg file size is about 180kb.). Saved and optimised and it was still well over 400kb! Bit poo frankly.

best bet for gifs is to make them 200-280 pixels wide, that makes the biggest difference to file size.

imageready is much better at optimising then animation shop.

Does anyone know if it's possible to import a single frame into an Imageready 7.0 animation? It's a piece of piss in Animation Shop but I thought I'd have a go at doing things properly. So far all I've managed to do is to import an entire directory as an animation which is a bit of a retarded way of doing things...
