Surely you can put them in your suitcase in the hold?I thought most of the rules only applied to hand luggage.

I can, yeah, I just generally carry makeup in my hand luggagebecause the hold is so cold it freezes it.

Yes you can.You can take liquids as long as the individual container does not exceed 100ml and the total of all containers does not exceed 1L - and it is in a transparent bag.
Of course I am assuming you are not a drag queen with a quarter litre bottle of industrial mascara.
