of Adepta Sororitas and Tyranids. Never really got the 'playing' bit, the semi-art bit was more my thing. Rather calming.

But we (my friend and I) had a habit of making up rules we couldn't understand. Also, we were both Space Marines, which made things difficult.
I really wanted to get into the playing scene, but I attended a games day at one of the Games Workshops, and the guy running it was such a complete CUNT that it put me off.

Our local store (Oxford) was run by really genuinely enthusiastic guys (obviously, not girls) who seemed to understand that their personal restraint when teaching made it better. They were a credit to their overzealous breed.
I used to paint+model rather well (if I do say so myself) and tended to place/win in the local cometitions til a Golden Demon winner moved in and shat on me from a massive height.
la la la.
Edit: also I can't FUCKING SPELL

The guys at Luton were alright.
The Cribbs Causeway employees are like cave-dwellers. The shop is in the corner of the Mall, and it's often dark. It's tiny, and there are only 2 employees there, who can usually be found hunched over a table the size of a tolet seat, painting, and occasionally grunting at anyone who comes in.
Still the main office at Nottingham is good, except they got rid of all the huge diaramas they set up about 10-15 years ago :(
Oh. Got piccies I think (NERD ALERT!): Flickr
