I'll put it alongside the series of 'tested on animals' pics in my profile... :D

No idea you liked cars. Me too, but I'm no longer a classic collector. I go for the new stuff. Oldest I have now are my 2002 anniversary edition VRSCA Harley ( mint, 400 odd miles on it ) and my 2002 R34 Nissan.

but I'm getting a VW Scirocco 1.8i Scala next year.
I used to have one of these:

1976 2.3 Vauxhall HP Firenza.
Twin Dellorto 48 carbs, high performance exhaust, total of about 160bhp which isn't bad for its age ;)
Lovely little car. I miss it.

I also had some flirtings with VW. Had a Corrado VR6 for a couple of years. My first car was an escort mk1 1300e and I was 13 years old. Dad took me grass track racing. I had a mk1 RS2000, a Mexico and a stage 3 rally prepared 1760 mk1 1974 ( bilstiens front, spax blue max gas adjustable rear, high lift cam, race pistons, twin webbers, rinspeed 8 branch manifold and stainless thru pipes, close ratio , quick shift box, anglia prop shaft, 3.0GTS Capri limited slip diff and jaguar back axle shafts. I miss THAT motor ) by the age of 18.
Here's my old 2.0 straight six Hurricane from when I was 24 ish.

It's one of these but that is the only remaining shot of the old girl.

Bit of a petrol head then and still am now. Currently running my 3rd M5 ( 8th BMW),

my second Skyline, my only ever Harley
( and I don't run it, more of a museum piece )
and my second Ducati.

( new one in the offing, can't wait. Might have to kill the wife first )
edit:// added more images. Can't find a picture of my skyline. might have to get the old tub out of the garage. {good plan actually, the mrs has refused to go and get me more beer, a run out in the nissan will have her begging me to go fetch AND pay for it }

Especially the Hurricane - I love those old things. Fast as hell and sooo much fun. Remember going round Castle Combe in one of those once.

made it myself from a donor racing Triumph GT6 ( racing version had the rotoflex chassis, VER important ).
I got all nostalgic when I posted that and mailed the last guy I knew that bought the company to see if they can still be made. Might be trouble sourcing a spitfire/GT6 chassis and Vittesse mk2 engine but now I'm older and wiser I'd love another one for keeps.

But it cost 14 grand and is now worth nearer 20. I could not care less.
I've mentioned before, my friend has an R7 and I have a track 999s in the wings so your R1 looks a bit tame right now. My sister works for Ducati Corse. I know what bikes are 'ghey' and most of them are Japanese ;)
