# Then you
and I
are on two different wavelengths. ;p

Did you see it with friends or anything? I saw it with two other guys and we all took the piss out of pisstakeable scenes (alright, not EVERY pisstakeable scene, we'd just be talking for the entire movie if we did that :D), which just made the whole thing all the more entertaining.

I don't tend to think too hard about entertainment like this. If it makes me laugh or think 'fuck yes' for whatever reason, it's £4.85 well spent (sod paying £7+ when I can get a student discount :D)

# i understand where you're coming from
and i do enjoy the odd cheesy flick

some films are so bad they become good
but Transformers was a film i didn't want to be in this camp
i just expected a bit more, and that's where it all went wrong for me :(

# Ah, you went in with expectations.
Never expect things, good or bad. Clear your mind. Enter with a blank slate and take it at face value. ONLY THEN CAN YOU ACHIEVE TRUE ZEN HARMONY. GO ZEN!

# normaly i can
but when it comes to childhood dreams
and having waited over 20 years for this film
how could i not have had expectations?

# Unfortunate.
Like I said, I don't even like the original transformers stuff. I didn't even want to see the film all that much - but I'm glad I did :D

One of the guys I went with was a really big transformers fan. He said things like "What the fuck? He's meant to be multiple robots, not just one robot!" (regarding whatever the hell the tank decepticon is called) and other such things, but he still liked the film for its lulz :D

# so...
next time your favourite band releases an album and it turns out shit,
it will be your fault for expecting too much?

# I don't have a favourite band.
But if that ever happened, I'd just go "Oh, well that album's shit." and just keep listening to the old stuff.

Like Infected Mushroom. I like their new stuff, but hate their old stuff. So I just listen to the stuff I like.

I try not to get too hyped about anything. Fallout 3, for example, is a game I'm looking forward to - but I don't expect it to be a fantastic game or anything, because Bethesda are making it.

# i understand where you're coming from
but on the other hand
if the album was crap, you wouldn't keep playing it and laughing at how
crap it was, and how much you enjoyed it's crapness

i too am waiting for fallout 3
*fingers crossed*

the trouble with never expecting anything is
you never get excited about anything, and that's half the fun
especially when something DOES live up to your expectations

# Yeah, you have a point.
It's hard to get craptastic lulz out of music, though. The music has to be at least a bit funky in order for that to happen - see MC Hammer :D
