it just strikes me that live aid/8/world and the likejust make people feel like they've done something when, in actual fact, they haven't... but at least everyone feels better.

that's the main thingespecially since coverage for the bleeding hearted stars running it causes their waning album sales to increase by 1000% in the months surrounding such an event. Feeeeed the haaaasbeeeens, let them know they still sell records....
