i have also just remembered that a common scam is to hack into a good ebay sellers account, change his password and bank account details, put a lot up for sale at a cheap price, take the money and run.

ah well, pay with paypal and you are protected, allegedly.

i've got a nasty feeling that paypal will only "protect" you if the seller has money in his paypal account that they can refund you with.

Fuckers hacked into my account and wee trying to sell some super duper motorbike for cheap. Luckily I noticed. They didn't change my password though. Either that or ebay fucked up and wouldn't admit it.
