On entering the scene I challenged the suspect, requesting him on three occasions to drop his weapon. as he failed to comply with this and in consideration of public safety I discharged my weapon twice and regretfully he died of his injuries.
Civilian witness' statement:
the police officer kicked in the door, said 'night-night sooty' and shot him.
