I thinkit's the 'cutesyness' of the kids' stuff. I enjoyed one of them (I think it was called
'Legend of the Overfiend'?) purely because of the absurdity but I avoid them as a general rule.

or "GTO" which I've read. GTO stands for Great Teacher Onizuka.
As far as I remember, the art in those isn't cutesy, and is more akin to comic book style.

I don't read comic books either.Except for 'Preacher', which was awesome. Although I hope the TV series does not kill it for me when it comes out.

I've only seen a few pages of Preacher, but it seems awesome.The man who gets a hard-on from tanks, and got shagged by a sado-masochistic prostitute amuses me.
