# What's a coursework?
Three of the English projects are due Thursday. All I've done is read the short stories and start one of the posters. I still have to finish that, make a newspaper article for another story, and an 8-box comic strip for a third. Le sigh.

# We're talking about the same thing :)
Coursework/project
I tend to use the term "project" in art, more than anything.
And ouch - better hurry!
I have cooking on thursday, and I'm trying out different flavours and styles of cream for my angel cake.
I'm taking this:

And making it into a chocolate one :)

# That looks super yummy.
Hahah
I only took cooking when I was forced to last year and it wasn't much fun. We learned how to cook with the microwave, since we weren't really trusted with the ovens. Ever had microwave brownies? Don't.

# Eugh!
We're more than trusted with the ovens :)
I wish I'd taken graphics, but I doubt the coursework would be any less dreadful than it is in cooking!

I hate microwaves. I burn chocolate in it.
I have to get someone else to use it for me.
*shudders*
Ever tasted blackened chocolate? Don't.

I also once tried to make caramel. Another don't:
Backcurrant in the sugar to make it melt quicker.
I then forgot it was in there.

# Eeeeew
hahahahahahahah
Our graphics teacher is crazy. I was forced to take that last year, as well, and oh my god! He yells all the time and wanted to hire me as a secretary for his business. He hires people from our HS, and has a screen printing business.

I can make monkey bread in a microwave. So ha! (although it isn't exactly hard)

On a random note, i finally have enough pop tabs to make a bracelet. Or five hahah.

# My mum was forced to take typing.
She purposely got the answers in her exam wrong, she wanted to do woodwork.
She accidentally passed, grew up and became a builder. :)
Now she's a cleaner.
Hmm.

I can make scrambled egg in the microwave, and I'm damn good at it!
When in doubt - scrambled eggs.

Pop tabs?

# I took typing.
We had these orange rubber things to cover the keyboards. Like keyboard condoms I guess. So we couldn't see.

Scrambled egg in the microwave? Really? I know in a pan/pot...but not microwave. I didn't think.

When you have cans of soda, the things you have to pull off the top to open them. You know?

# Ah! Of course!
I know what you mean :)

And yes, in the microwave:
Crack some eggs, I usually use two or three, and stir with a fork in a plastic bowl.
Put in a bit of milk or cream, and stick it in the microwave.
Take it out every now and then, and when you can't see the liquid egg anymore, stir it up with a fork.
Add anything you want to, salt, pepper (I ALWAYS put in some grated cheese) and stir it up a bit more.
Put it in the microwave and keep checking and stirring until it's done :)
You might need to add a tiny bit more milk every now and then, but it comes out delicious.

And it's fast.

Don't forget the toast.

# Oooh.
That does sound quite good. I may have to try that sometime. :]

# I sometimes even put curry powder in it.
Yes, I know, it sounds disgusting, but it's really not.
Just one of those things that works.

Like philadelphia cheese and marmalade.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:25, archived)
# Sounds okay.
Would be nicer if I liked curry. ;D

Philadelphia cheese?
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:32, archived)
# Yeah, that really smooth creamy spread.
Lovely stuff, gorgeous with orange marmalade.

# Like
cream cheese? Cos cream cheese is always yummy with fruity spread.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:36, archived)
# Yes, cream cheese.
And yes, it is.
There's not much cheese doesn't go with.
People suggested I try it with different things to see if it works, etc.

Ice cream doesn't work with grated cheddar.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:38, archived)
# I wouldn't think that it would.
But the cheese with fruit mixed in and stuff always looks nasty in the shops.
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:44, archived)
# Well if it was inedible, they wouldn't sell it :)
I love trying out random food combinations.
I once tried to make my drink taste of almond, so I put in some almond flavouring but I forgot that it was oil based.
I just had a puddle of almond floating at the top of my lemonade.

I still drank it, but it wasn't very nice :(
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:46, archived)
# Eeeeew
That sounds not very nice. Heheh
(, Wed 9 Jan 2008, 0:51, archived)
# It's not.
The strawberry was better.
In fact, both of those are going into my cream for thursday.
Along with coconut, chocolate and vanilla.

Separately, of course.

But for now, I'm going to read in bed - The Amber Spyglass is calling!
Nice chatting with you, and I hope you enjoy my future deviations :)

'Night!
