Then every phone line in the building dropped (which is a scary thing to happen in a call centre), and if people rang in, staff could answer with about three seconds before it cut out again.

I had someone that had spent the last week trying to get in touch about a job (I've been a bit sick lately), and she finally got through to me - "Oh yes, I remember you! sorry I haven't called you back, let me grab your resume*click*"
I can't find her phone number because IT has decided to delete emails by some random process. I hope she calls back, she's been persistent enough over the last three weeks for me to at least give her a chance.
They don't seem to understand that every second my team is out of action, the company loses $3 of gross margin.
