ok, now im confused, MSN messenger thinks i have a US keyboard, and this thinks its UK, how very strange
[EDIT]Wankers! as far as i can see, there is no £ sign on the US keyboard, shift 3 does this: #, the hash key does this: \ as does the \ key

Also, if you press and hold Alt and then type the ASCII code in using the numeric keypad you can get virtually any character you like, although I'm not sure if this is language dependant or not...
