it's just that Adobe is shit and memory intensive even when its starting. It's taking everything it can from other processes just to get it's great lumbering arse upright.

I'm talking about the coding structor of the operating system. I've had awesome sound from a PC. WIth hardware is actually down to the laser cut of the sound card. To do it properly has a high reject rate. So the cheaper ones don't use the best methods.
