I'm not too bothered about
Tate and her comedy. I just don't watch it. Like any of these sketch type shows ( her, boosh, Little Britain, 3 non-blondes and the spin-off, Bo Selecta et al ) When they are new they are fresh and quite often hilarious and well deserving of a 6-8 episode run on BBC3 or Ch4 but then some mental case has the idea that they deserve another run and another and another until you end up hating it with a passion because there is only so many times you can hear the same tired joke before you want to kill people.
Very few sketch shows can pull off a long run. Bring back the fast show is all I am saying.

Reeves & Mortimer
that flippin' bingo advert Vic's doing the now is funnier than a lot of the stuff you mentioned above.

What's on the end of your stick Vic?
I loved those two. I do however think I might be disappointed if they came back in a similar format. I think that level of insane mentality was just right for the 90's.
I think I might do a Lloyd Grossman picture now.

I found her pretty annoying and unfunny the first time I saw her.
But yes, I just avoid her.

Hale & Pace and The Russ Abbott show
were far better than things like Little Britain and Catherine Tate in my opinion. But perhaps the new sketch shows can see the weaknesses of variety.
Edit: ... and although the Fast Show was good, it kind of gave birth to catchphrase comedy.

The last series of Mighty Boosh struggled
At least the League of Gentlemen knew when to quit. Same goes for the Fast Show. Have a listen to "Down the Line" or whatever it's called on Radio 4 for Whitehouse and Higson comedy gold.

That's entirely it.
All the best ones knew when it had run it's course and knew not to alienate the fans by milking them ( although LoG Apocalypse was near the taking the piss line )

I'm quite a large mighty boosh fan
but I finally got round to watching the first two of the third series and I'm not interested anymore.
