# hello just a quick q seeing as you seem to know a thing or two about it
In Flash (mx) how do you make a layer or images (bitmaps) transparent so you can achieve a fade out/in effect? Or do you need to fade in a white/black box over the top of everything which is how i've been doing it so far.
