but can someone explain the difference between this image -- which has been more or less panned -- and any other image based on the same story? we get LOLanythings these days -- what's up with LOLchildabductionstories if we're allowed other jokes on the same story...?

it's maybe because Text On A Picture posts have become unpopular here lately. Also I think maybe the "lolcats" format makes some people angry. I don't really know though. Personally, I just don't think this pic is very funny. Can't say it makes me particularly angry though :)
