# You were asking earlier
when I was out about drawing thaqt transformer.
I was out and could not answer. But briefly it is tracing. Get your image and create a later above it in multiply. Get a pencil tool, sharp and small and put that in multiply mode. Draw over your image until you have some line art. The trick is to keep the brush at very low opacity, about 9% and have it set up for pen pressure.

Layer underneath that line art and use airbrushes, again with pen pressure turned on and a similar opacity. Just build up layers of 'paint' under your line art ( but on the same layer ) use noise and sponge filters to add quick texture if you need and use the dodge and burn to add quick depth.

Don't try and keep your brushing in the lines, just clean it all up afterwards with either the eraser, the lasso and delete tools or a clipping mask if you are familiar with that technique.
The trick is brushes on low opacity, in multiply mode and a lot of patience, oh and use the smudge tool about 15-25% for blending harsh edges. also put your texturing on last ( especially if you use the smudge tool a lot )
