but to address your last point about n00bs, I do think there's more leeway given to people in terms of what they post if they've already posted lots of pics they've made, as in the case of Kk.
As for Rob's 'RPS is shit': there was a time when Sundays were just a board full of dodgy sunsets. Rob made his feelings about it clear, and now it's changed. There has been at least one completely unshopped photo frontpaged, so they can't be completely frowned upon.

I'm sure some people would argue it was very funny. But it doesn't sound it :D

if the "Unshopped" claim was just a joke, but I don't think it was. I also wondered (and I wasn't alone in this) if it was the posters own picture, but the mods are usually pretty sharp about that stuff, and if something gets missed someone here will have seen it and will point it out, jaded crowd what we are.
In fairness too I think it may have been funnier than my description of it makes it sound.

but what I hear is you voicing your opinion, which is fair enough of course, but that's all it is.

This is just a picture of a field. Fair enough if she's happy with it and wants to show it off, that's easily done by chucking a link or a picture in an existing thread.
It doesn't have to be a new thread and potentially push off work that someone has spent hours on.

I at least partially agree with you, but it's really not such a big deal once in a while is it? My main point here is that she's a good regular contributor and the person initially being pissy to her is not. In fact I don't think I've ever seen them contribute anything before this.

It's not something I'll often make a big deal of, but I can't see why they can't go in an existing thread. Everyone will still see it.
