# it's wrong but they are probably thinking of the bottom line and genuine legal liabilities
it makes me sad, I want to collect them all, damn it

# Well this is my point.
If they need to get rid of it, then let me buy it all. I would be happy to sell it on to people. Or if they need to not sell it so that its a tax write off? Then give it to me!

# this could really be the problem
nobody has yet been fucked over WEEE as far as I'm aware, and I'm guessing nobody wants to be the first.

I've seen people fucked off before, I was talking to a teacher a while ago had to destroy 200 computers that he wanted to give to kids but he couldn't because of the technicalities of the regs.

I could well believe it to be true sadly, if it is true probably the only thing you could do is offer to buy the lot off them.

or maybe they could pay you less than whoever they are currently paying to dispose of them

# Well if you see the e-mail I sent them,
I did offer to buy the whole lot.

# "some of"
not the same as "the lot"

probably talking about a lot of warehouse space here

# Oh right.
Sorry, that wasnt correctly transcribed.

I did actually offer to buy the lot from them. The blog thing was an afterthought and I had to transcribe it rather than copy and paste it.

# ahh
I wonder how many 0's after the £1 that'd be
(, Sun 6 Apr 2008, 16:41, archived)
# To be honest with you
I dont think that would be a problem.

Once they agreed to sell it, then it would become an issue. But they wont, Im sure. Because they are cunts!

# oh, rich eh
you never know, they might

"I'll buy your old second hand game stuff you don't want to deal with anymore and assume complete liability for the lot of it"

they might ponder that, after all, they want the money and not the stuff
(, Sun 6 Apr 2008, 16:53, archived)
# But thats the thing.
As far as I am aware, they are better off just destroying it as the money they have spent on it, they can write off, tax free. Whereas if they sell it on, they have to pay tax on the income.
