ain't tracings are they? i've never done either, but the vectorites always seem to get arsey about people just tracing

But they require a lot more effort than simply drawing over the top of something as if it were tracing paper.

I tend to use the source image below.
I'm getting into the habit of adding more detail now, so it's not just a quick "colours over the top" job, if you know what I mean.
