Have this what I did - I've reworked this image more times than rock bands have Patsy Kensit, but here's the latest anyway - an attempt at NIN/Sevening it:

the thing is trent is a genius and i'll not detract from that at all. as a composer and a producer i rank him very highly. however, as a musician i find him interminably dull.

I got a torrent of the entire NIN back catalogue, and must say - much of it is purely doodling, and not very interesting doodling at that.
