When I couldn't fly, she told me that it's because she didn't have time to collect the feathers, which would let me fly.
I was disappointed, but I believed her promise that I'd fly soon.

it was to go to my Auntie's house.
I wanted to fly there.
My sister and I were dressed as carrots once, though:

Obviously I've edited our faces.

actually it's an awesome costume. I once dressed up as a highlighter and once as a column. I have a history of standing up all night.

On the way to the New Year's party, he decided to stop traffic (the costume lit up and everything).
It worked surprisingly well.
Then a policeman stopped and said to him "I expect I'll see you at the party, then!".
Turned out to be one of dad's mates on his way back from his shift.

Another time he and his friend Andy went as Rastafarian Policemen.
They made a police car with eccentric colours, and because they couldn't write "Police" on it, they put "Polite" on it, instead, having realised after they painted it on.
They made a massive fake spliff each, too.

Mum made me a Tom costume when we went as characters from Tom and Jerry to the local carnival (same reason as the carrots).
After the carnival I spent the next six months wearing the Tom costume in public because I loved it so much.
I was really upset when it started to fall apart and I grew out of it.
