it has gone weirdly dark?? (or is that an intentional?)

I left my scanner at uni and my digital camera is shit.

I tried correcting the colours on gimp but couldn't get it to work so I gave up.

Ed: Blimey, how did you do that so quickly? I was playing with the edging tools for about half an hour but it always came out speckly

Is there another free program you could recommend?

The gimp is kind of fun (I've been filling up all my old holiday photos with supernovas and lens flares and rippling water effects) but it's not easy to get to grips with.

some people seem to like paint.net

I haven't got into it deeply

I guess like anything else the gimp requires dedication to get into the flow of how to work with it
