ah, boinci was meant to write a code based on that a few years ago. it went ok and then my contract ran out. quite nice software, actually, in some ways.

actually no, never heard of itsorry :( also, i'd be very tempted to write it in linux, i'm afraid. windows doesn't like makefiles very much. nor does it have decent c or f90 compilers.
