may i offer a tiny advisesort out a background layer that remains the same throughout the whole anim', perhaps like the last frame, you'll aviod the cross loosing its grain when the big man takes a dive. all the other layers can then be just jeebus doing his thing, minus any background.

Absolutely.I realised after I should of started with the last frame. but by that point I'd spent more than 10 seconds on it, and was bored hehe. I normally don't make it this bad, but free advise always appreciated. Thanks :)
