# I was always interested in EVE: Online which had far more ships, weapons, economy, missions, plus it was an MMO.
Sadly as with all MMOs it was just point and click combat system, that really really pissed me off.

# mmos are just crap. i always start them with wide eyed wonder then they all turn out the same

# yeah... I had that conan one and was totally bored of it after ten mins,
a good waste of money, that

# I've only really played EVE: Online (two 14 day trials and one month I actually played for at one point), and I think I tried the Star Wars one which was bloody awful, and that FPS one.
The only only good one ever created was Monster Hunter, but it didn't really count because it wasn't exactly MASSIVELY multiplayer, it just had loads of quests and items and stuff you couldn't get if you played the offline game.

Fucking awesome though, there's nothing like smashing a massive hammer into a dragon's face and ACTUALLY DOING IT instead of just pointing and clicking. And having to avoid being killed constantly made it feel great.

# started playing that now
damn hard game, but very good :)

# On PSP? I've not got a PSP so haven't been able to Monster Hunter properly for about three years.
Played the original on the PS2, most of a korean version of MHG, and about half of the offline of the japanese version of MH2. But without knowing what you are really doing or online play with friends it's not the same.

I've always been a bit suspcious of the PSP version as there were barely enough buttons on the PS2 versions.

# The controls take a bit of getting used to
but they've crammed more stuff in it.

There's also another version on the PSP out called Monster Hunter Feedom 2 G - only out in Japan at the mo and was apparently responcible for the productivety of Japan to drop by a good few % on it's release day.

Some peeps are working on an English patch, so I'll keep a gander.

# I so need to steal my brother's PSP, he never uses it anyway.
But I imagine I'd just not do anything for about four months if I had Monster Hunter again.

I was a legend amongst hammer users.

# started with the long sword
one thing that bugs me is that you can't run out to the field unless you're doing a quest....got lots of goods I need to farm and I have to do quests at the same time.

# Yeah, I used to just take the mushroom quests or cooking meat.
But it depends on what stuff you want as sometimes its only available on hard quests.

I remember mining or trying to get rarer monster parts used to be bloody frustrating at times, and usually fairly boring as it meant doing the same quest again and again and again.
