# ok thx
my bad for not putting it in an existing thread.
I thought some people might be interested in letting ALOT of people see their stuff, so it wasn't completely selfish of me.

but yea sorry.

# A lot of people see our stuff already
and to be honest many of those people don't deserve that kind of punishment.

As with any image a simple polite request to the author asking permission for use, reason for use and agreement to keep within the parameters of a creative commons licence usually enough.

12000 people eh? They will all stop watching bands to look at a modern pram race? Good luck with that.

# People make this mistake a lot, and it bugs me:
Exposure of your work is not payment.

It's not unselfish to offer to show someone's work to a million billion people unless you pay them unselfishly.
There's nothing wrong with what you want to do, you're here to ask first and that's cool, but you are just looking to use someone else's work for free, be grateful that anyone might be willing to volunteer, but do not,

BUT DO NOT

pretend do be doing the artists a favour, be grateful instead, it's more appropriate.

We (by "we" I mean artists, not only b3tards) weren't just born shitting this stuff out, "talent" means hard work, life long hard work, it's not a "gift".

Ah, and I know I just got all heavy over use of some silliness the creator probably couldn't copyright anyway, and you're hella nice to ask (seriously, gaz the ones you want if you want to walk the walk), but these particular two cents have been burning holes in my pockets for years.

Pet peeve and all.

Thanks for your time, carry on as you were.
