In Saudi we used todistil rice wine ( which we also made ) and then flavour the resulting ethanol with cherry essence. Quite tasty. And lethal.

have you actually drunk food dyecuase I drank a bottle of rum essence ages ago, I was 12 and my parents had cut my alcohol ration. it was fucking disgusting. I can't stand rum now... sadest booze aversion story ever.
