Sort of reminds me of My Funny Valentine.
I've always preferred Modal Jazz and Coltrane/Miles Davis style and era stuff personally. Giant Steps for instance makes me lie back and my eyes roll up into my skull.

Just had a listen to Giant Steps
May I recommend Keith Jarret, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette's album 'Up For It' recorded live in Juan-les-Pins? Same style as Coltrane, and has their versions of some classic songs.
