fanboys aside:
it prominently features WTC in the trailer, meaning it may be used as a focal point in 'wide' shots, which will build up to...
given that most of the plot details are already out there, and the 'massacre' that occurs in NY in the story, most US people may not want to see that.
They won't long have got rid of Bush as a bad president, the last thing they'll need to be reminded of on screen is Nixon.

As said, in terms of the film, it could be quite excellent in itself, but I don't see it being 'huge', which - with all the hype - is what it's going to be billed as nearer the time - a huge film

Hype is one thing, all fanboys are going to do is pick it to pieces on the internet, and even though there's only one person with 'super' powers, it's going to be classed as a superhero movie to bring in punters, and many may get upset at the distinct lack of superpowers on display.

Still, I hope I'm wrong and it does ok :)
