people tend to go away with the impression upon seeing a group of people that they all acted like the loudest members in that group did. All stereotypes thus come from loud people.
Loud people are all dicks.
I know a couple of "chavs" who are perfectly decent people. They dress that way because their contempories do. As most people do, to some extent.
