# I am currently
using one of these as my gaming monitor for world of warcraft.

www.ebuyer.com/product/131916

The resolution is crap but considering I bought it as a TV for the bedroom and I don't like the quality much I decided to use it as a monitor and it's not bad. Could not be arsed to send it back because "I think it's a shitty TV" and it was on offer £270 when I bought it.

edit: I also play wow on one of these

www.ebuyer.com/product/145232

but I have to kick her out of the TV room to use it.

# trouble is if I'm going to spend that kinda £££ on a tv/monitor
Id like to see it in action before i commit
(, Sun 3 Aug 2008, 20:29, archived)
# Not worth it as
a TV ( but I've been told the screens are now Samsung made and they were not when I got mine ). I was not happy with the quality. As a monitor it's passable but the resolution is a bit low and it can't handle HD signals ( even though the TV is HD compliant, it only has VGA input )
I'm using it because I have it and it's ok for gaming but not really a serious monitor option. The Toshiba Regza is brilliant as either but then that's what you pay for.

If you are on a budget and want a good contrast ratio monitor then look no further than this

I have used LG for years and they are one of the biggest companies in their field. I think they are excellent quality. Still got my 6 year old LG Studioworks CAD CRT monitors and they are working like new.

# sorry i fell off the internet then...
looking for something to fill a horizontal gap of 34" :D
(, Sun 3 Aug 2008, 21:15, archived)
# hmm thats quite
a gap you got there
(, Sun 3 Aug 2008, 21:27, archived)
# its the wall inside my cupboard :D

# Lions
and witches... are you sure you want that desk space back I think its superior having electron guns in the back of a monitor.
(, Sun 3 Aug 2008, 21:52, archived)
# Then you are going to
have to spend a grand on a 30" monitor or get a high quality TV with HDMI and have an HDMI DX10 graphics card that is compatible.
If you just want something that works then any 32" good quality TV will do the job but don't expect hi def resolution.
